Unlock Recipes
Most recipes are unlocked through quests. They are given to you by the NPCs around the teacher. There are 34 of them in total. Some quests take you to dungeons, but you can complete them all within a few hours if you are max level, if you are not you may have to wait, because later quests have level requirements. You should complete every quest before continuing with this guide!
The last quest is called Tribal Knowledge and rewards you with Recipe: Demonsteel Armguards. You can buy the rest of the recipes from Urael in Suramar after completing the quest.
Recipe Ranks
Most Legion recipes have 3 ranks. Higher ranks allow you to craft an item with less material cost. So if you can, use only rank 3 recipes. You can get these from merchants, world quests, through reputation, drops in dungeons, or even through victories in Rated Battlegrounds.
If you move your mouse over the little stars in your spellbook, you will see directly where you can get the next rank of the recipe.
Unlock World Quests
Most rank 3 leveling recipes are obtained from world quests. To do them, you must first complete Uniting the Isles by becoming friendly with each Legion faction. You can get the quest with 110 from Archmage Khadgar. You only need to farm the reputation on one character, your twinks will just get the quest after they reach 110.
Once the world quests are unlocked, you just need to skill your profession to 25 and profession world quests will be added to the others.
Leveling Legion Blacksmithing: 1-100
1-15
Through the quest series mentioned above, you will get 15 skill points and learn the recipe for Demonsteel Bar at the end.
Demonsteel Bars can only be crafted at the Firmament Stone located at Ironhorn Enclave in Highmountain [54.6, 84.1].
15-75
67 x Demonsteel Bar (134 Felslate, 67 Leystone Ore)
Craft Demonsteel Waistguard once before reaching Skill 60. This is necessary to get the rank 2 recipe for later.
If you haven’t reached skill 75, you need to make a few more Demonsteel Bars. Save them all for the next step. However, since you will need a lot of these bars from 75-100, it is also worthwhile to continue skilling with this green recipe.

Rank 1 Recipes
You can get Plans: Demonsteel Waistguard (Rank 2) from Urael in Suramar. Recommend the belt, the rank 3 recipe for it is easy to get.
Rank 2 Recipes
When you have forged a Demon Steel Armor for the first time you can talk to Muirn Ironhorn to get the rank 2 recipe for the created armor piece. Therefore, to have all the armor pieces at rank 2, you need to craft each one once at rank 1.
Rank 3 Recipes
You can get Plans: Demonsteel Waistguard (Rank 3) from Strap Bucklebolt in the Dalaran Sewer for 500 Sightless Eye. It should be possible to farm the 500 eyes in less than half an hour.
